Happy Holidays! So sorry, life has been really hectic! I haven't gotten a chance to update this blog for awhile. =(

I went shopping for the past 2 days for other people. Christmas shopping is one of the most irritable activity of the year. There is no guarantee that the person will like what you get. You shop around for hours, fighting with other shoppers to get to the sweater you think your cousin might like. You then go to the cash register to pay for it...only to find yourself asking for a gift receipt before you even swipe your card. I bet all of us have returned presents before and was happier with the cash vs. the present. Anyway, if only everyone can just make a wish list then Christmas shopping will be so much easier!

I wish Santa was real. If he was, I would totally give him this wish list:

Bandage Skirt

Got two great deals today...

You know those bandage skirts that are everywhere now? Even my favorite...LC wears it! I got a black one at H&M for $5!!! Too bad I don't have a Chanel bag to match with it haha. Seen here on Lauren is the BCBG version of it which cost a little over $100 ($138 i think?) Whatever, these trends come and go i'm find with my $5 find.

Fall Essentials

Fall is finally here, I can finally take out those chunky sweaters and rock that fur vest. Buh bye sunshine :( . Here are a few things that I feel like are fall essentials:

CHUNKY NECKLACES:

Spice up any outfit, regardless of color and style, with this season's hottest chunky necklaces.

You can change any LBD, plain color, and any skinny jean fit into a glamorous arrangement. This is going to add a lot of volume and attention to your neckline so choose a piece that is either boatneck or deep v. The necklace will look best on the naked skin. ;)

SEQUINS MINI/LEATHER MINI

It doesn't matter what material the skirt turns out to be --- key word "MINI". And yes, sorry ladies, thought you were off the hook for shaving this season ;) Actually, there is a fix. Tights to the rescue! Pair your minis with black tights. If you have things like sequins and leather, do not pair it with the patterned floral tights that are everywhere. That will just be too tackle. Keep it simple.

Remember the post I had several weeks ago talking about Anna Sui's gossip girl line at target? Well the line debuted today and I was just online browsing the collection...turns out that a lot of things are already sold out. insane. the stuff is not THAT cute!?!?! anyways, get your while supplies last!

Payless - Christian Siriano

Christian Siriano, winner from project runway (or was he a runner up? can't remember anymore), started his own line and has recently launched his collaboration with Payless. The stuff is pretty cute but the boots and the pumps totally remind me of the Rodarte, Christian Louboutin, and YSL collections awhile back.

Jazz it up!

This was one of the outfits from the Fall 2009 Louis Vuitton show. I actually tried this before seeing this picture! Only, I didn't make my bow as dramatic as this one was. I went to the fabric store and bought hot pink fabric for $1/yard. The only problem I ran into was that the edges were running because I don't know how to sew. So I suggest getting something this is NOT satin. That was clearly a mistake. Try this at home, it should be as easy as it looks. =)

BCBG Final Cut

On BCBG's website, they've got this section called "final cut". I went to a "final cut" outlet (which is like the outlet for the outlets...the crap they couldn't sell at the outlet, they dump it on the racks of "final cut"). The sales associate told me that in addition to having inventory they couldn't sell be sold here, the stuff at final cut clothes are made from leftover fabric or just leftover material. This mean of course, the craftsmanship is a lot sloppier, but you still get the same quality fabric here. So all this is available to you on the bcbg's website. I found this foldover clutch that is really affordable --- only $40 vs $158. It can be worn in 3 ways:

Rachel Zoe, famous celebrity stylist (clients include Cameron Diaz, Lindsey Lohan, Kate Hudson, Anna Hathaway, and many more) has got a collaboration lined up with qvc.com. The products will be focused on faux fur and snakeskin. The collection hits the site on Sept. 12 th .

Double knit Bustier Top

I found a really cute top on bluefly.com! This bustier top is not over the top but just sexy enough to wear during the day with jeans or tights. I'm the type that always wanna try to wear a bustier top but is scared for it to come off as "skanky". I think this top solves the problem!

Strong Structured Shoulder

Hey ladies, remember back in the day when we were kids (hmm like in the 80's)? One of my favorite toys was actually my mother's shoulder pads. I remember purposely taking them out of her jackets and blouses and switching them around. Who would have known that 20 years later, the shoulder pad thing would come come back! I know a lot of stars are sporting it because they probably did as well when they were young! (think Kate Moss...she was probably in her teens the last time they were in style...) Here's a trendy pick that is still within budget. This great metallic H&M dress is soooo chic. I love the metallic details, the color combination, and the fit. And heck, wear it a few times for a season and you would have gotten your moneys worth! Anyways, check it out!

Anna Sui For Target Hits Stores Sept 13th

Be on the lookout for Anna Sui's latest collaborations with Target. This line is completely Gossip Girl inspired. Here is a breakdown of what the line is comprised of:

1. Blair inspired - Chiffon, 3/4 sleeves, bows, cinched belt, black tights --- all finishing touches that Blair is known for. I think this is the cutest dress out of the whole collection. It definitely captured the essence of Blair's style: feminine, well-put-together, and flirty.

2. Serena inspired - halter, low neck line, playful - all embody the style that Serena brings. She is young, sexy, and trendy.

3. Jenny inspired: lines/shapes, girly, a little rocker-ish (though not completely reflected in this dress) are the defining features of Jenny Humphrey. Her style is my least favorite, might be because it looks a little young and lacks elegance. But it sure does fit her character.

4. Vannessa inspired: let me start off by saying, why is the minority in this show represented by "ethnic patterns" and "earthy tones". Now if it's anyone who can fight stereotype, it's gotta be Anna Sui. We've got a minority designer who actually made it big in an industry where I'm sure is saturated with social barriers. (Though, I am happy to see minorities continuing to make a name for themselves in the fashion industry --- Alexander Wang, Phillip Lim, and Opening Ceremony). Anyways back to the Vanessa inspired pieces...expect to see this color scheme throughout, if you like it then you are probably going to enjoy this sub-line.

Gucci Outlet

WOW, our very first Gucci outlet in the bay area! The new Gucci outlet just opened in June, it's about 2 months old at the Nut Tree Outlets located in Vacaville. I went there this weekend, and boy, it sure was grandioso...They limit the number of people in the store so once it reaches the store "capacity", people have to wait in line outside. I waited in line and it was like 100 degrees + outside. I waited for about 20 mins and then finally was instructed by the security to go in. But it was WELL WORTH the wait (can we say shopaholic???) There were purses there starting from $300...ranging all the way up to the thousands. You can get a decent tote bag for about $400, a leather bag for about $700, and wallets for about $250. Let me stress again, DEFINITELY worth the 20 mins wait ;) So I came out with a lovely bag...and then life just got much better because now I have a cute purse that I didn't have to pay full price for. =)

SPOTTED: S dressed in a hip hugging, maroon Herve Leger dress. Unless you are from the upper east side, you are not going to spend $1,188 for something that barely covers your a**. So wait around, I've seen these bandaged dresses at forever 21 before. They are currently selling the one shown here (much more affordable, $27). If you don't like the ruffle detail, just wait around and I know a better style will come out shortly!

Marshall's Suprise

Usually my mom tortures me by dragging me into Ross, Marshalls, and others of that sort. But I actually came out with a pleasant surprise today! I went to the dresses section and found a red khaki dress from Laundry. It retails for $200 and I got it for $40. The fitting is great. The top is loose fitting with pleaded details at the neckline. The waist is cinched with a thick band of elastic to give it shape. Better yet, it even has pockets! It makes me super excited when I find a deal and this one definitely gave me that rush of excitment when I paid for it. Oh god I sound like Becky Bloomwood...

H&M Black and White Stripe Top

So the other day I went to H&M and got a black and white stripe top (seems like the stripes are here to stay for awhile since it is saturated in magazines and store racks). The top was only $12. This top if the most versatile piece ever! I can wear it during the day and night. It can be off the shoulder or you can wear it as a drapery tee. In the day time, I pair it with some destroyed shorts. If I feel like wearing this black and white ensemble at night, I will pair it with a black mini. Check these recommendations out!

American Eagle Sale

You know that AE/Abercrombie craze back in like 03? I think I own every laced cami, babydoll tank there is (didn't we all?) But yesterday when I was at the mall, I decided to give AE another shot. To my surprise, their stuff has definitely extending beyond the plain jane tanks and tees. Here are a few picks:

1. Deconstructed Boyfriend Cropped Chinos ($14.95) - Super casual and cute! Cool off by skipping the jeans and throw a pair of these on with a cute top!

2. Fringy Sandals ($9.95) - Tired of tan gladiator sandals? Mix and match colors and put on a pair of vibrant fringy sandals!

3. Satin Tie Tank Top ($14.95) - Sexy, but yet, subtle. The second picture shows the back of this tank top; it has a little peek-a-boo slit to subtly show skin! Dress it down by wearing it with white or jean shorts. Night out with the girls? No problem, pair it with skinny jeans and heels! Tada! Daytime woredrobe can be transformed into a going out shirt too!

4. Tiered Dress ($9.95) - Didn't I mention before about my love for tiers and ruffles? So why am I not surprised that my selection of style reoccurs?

5. Parsley Scarf ($3.95) - This will jazz up any plain color tee/wifebeater tank top. Try coordinating it with unexpected color arrangements/patterns. Yellow? Royal Blue? Stripes? Not a problem, the parsley is multi-colored --- a built in feature to help garnish anything!
